Peartree Homes is a Charleston custom builder with a simple operating principle: do it correctly the first time, and keep the homeowner in the loop from start to finish.
David Partridge started Peartree Homes in 2012. He grew up in Charleston and learned the trade from his grandfathers — one an engineer, the other a commercial developer — and the company grew the way most good builders do: one job at a time, on referrals from the last one.
We build custom homes, additions and whole-home renovations across Charleston and the sea islands. The team is deliberately small. The people who price your job are the people who run it, and they stay on it until the last punch-list item is closed.
We're licensed, bonded and insured. If something isn't right after we hand over the keys, we come back and fix it.
Three words that are easy to put on a website and hard to run a business by. Here is what each one actually means on a Peartree Homes job site.
We quote what a project genuinely costs, not what wins the bid. If your budget will not carry the scope, we say so in the first meeting rather than in a change order six months later.
Coastal Charleston is hard on buildings. We specify assemblies and materials that hold up to salt, humidity and storm season — and we explain the trade-offs so you can choose knowingly.
Daily updates during construction, a portal you can check at midnight, and a real answer within one working day. Silence is the most common complaint about builders. It should not be.
